Salah Extends Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Says Curtis Jones
Jones has shared that Salah expressed regret to the team following the uproar from his recent interview.
What Happened
Salah was left out from a key Champions League match following criticising the club and suggesting his relationship with manager had deteriorated.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”
Arne Slot has previously declined to reveal on whether he got an explanation from the 33-year-old forward.

The player stated that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “He was the exact same Mo, he was smiling and it was business as usual,” he continued.
The midfielder also suggested that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “I get that there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just be on the bench, then I think that’s concerning.”
On-Field Response
Liverpool's form have remained strong in the matches since the interview fallout. Jones believes the forward's comments were not intended to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, it has consistently come from a good place,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, playing well and starting to win games.”
