Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in an LA Car Crash
The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The celebrated game designer lost his life when his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
